Breast and Bottle Feeding Support
I am an experienced Midwife and Health Visitor who can support both you and your baby with positioning and attachment issues including;

Rapid weight loss or slow weight gain plus increased weight gain over a short period of time

Painful feeds

Low milk supply

Oversupply of milk (engorgement)

Prolonged jaundice

Colic
-
Dribbling on the bottle

Clicking sounds when feeding on the breast or bottle

Fussing at the breast or bottle

Feeds that are either too long or short

Coughing/spluttering/gagging at the breast or bottle
Some mothers and babies may have only one of these symptoms, whilst others may experience several symptoms which can change over a period of time. Every case is different and my approach is tailored to your specific needs and challenges. Some babies may also feed without experiencing any of the above symptoms at all.
Feeding assessments will be carried out and supported as part of the tongue tie assessment and you will be provided with a full care plan including advice and strategies you can implement at home.

Initial appointments (90 mins) can be booked at our clinic in Ware or within your home and include:

Medical and infant feeding history

Tongue Tie/Oral Dysfunction assessment

Tension and tone assessment

Midwife led infant feeding support
Based on the assessment, this appointment may also include:

✓ Review of infant growth
✓ Muscular and fascial tension release exercises
✓ Scar remodelling
✓ Prescribed oral function exercises to practice at home
✓ Colic and reflux support
✓ Infant sleep support
✓ Introducing solid foods
✓ Care integration with NHS medical practitioners
✓ Options to arrange an appointment for surgical release of tongue tie (frenulotomy)
A virtual appointment (60 mins) can be arranged ahead of an initial in-person assessment to discuss any immediate concerns or questions you may have. The cost for this appointment is £85.
Mileage is charged at 0.45p per mile over 10 miles from Hoddesdon.
